Dr. Aleksey Lazarev, MD
Dr. Aleksey Lazarev, MD is a leading Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon with a specialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine. Dr. Lazarev received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Hunter College in New York City graduating Summa Cum Laude and then obtained his medical degree at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at a renowned orthopedic and sports medicine surgery program at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then trained in Miami at UHZ Sports Medicine Institute for his sports medicine fellowship, where he also served as a team physician for Florida International University basketball and football teams and Florida Panthers professional hockey team.
Dr. Lazarev brings his considerable expertise in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and knee, as well as reconstructive shoulder arthroplasty and trauma surgery, establishing his practice in Sacramento. Dr. Lazarev’s practice focuses on comprehensive and personalized approach to patient care, with expertise and proven skills in the treatment of sports injuries, expert treatment of fracture care, complex shoulder reconstruction and arthroplasty, as well as arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, utilizing both non-operative and operative modalities.
